We love it when we can talk to people in our industry face-to-face. Last October we got that chance at the Preat booth while attending the Whip Mix Digital Forum. This annual event was on its 9th year and so far it was its best. This time we had a chance to talk to a wonderful digital technician Whitney McCarty. Whitney talked about starting as an expanded assistant, dedicating all her free time to learn digital dentistry, and taking what she has learned to become a pivotal CAD/CAM technician at Midwest Dental Arts doing a full arch digital workflow. Then we sit down and chat with Gene Peterson CDT from Stearngold. Gene has a rich dental lab background with early ties to digital dentures. Gene talks about the early days of Sterngold (125 years ago!), the ERA attachments that started the company, and how they became the implant company they are today.

Whip Mix’s new Veriwash resin cleaning station is the ideal piece of equipment to use in the 3D printed resin post process. It’s oscillating, multi-speed stirrer produces a tornado-like vortex every 30-seconds, and guarantees efficient, effective and powerful cleaning whether the units are individual or still attached to the build plate.

The two alcohol baths make an effective step-wash system. It cleans more efficiently and there is less alcohol needed, since it is re-used for both a fresh bath and a dirty bath.

The VeriWash’s intelligent design offers features such as Mode, Time, and Start/Stop button display which gives the operator full and automatic control of the cleaning process. A mesh basket used in the wash container makes it easy to keep track of small printed parts when cleaning. The affordable unit’s one-year warranty ensures peace-of-mind for the owner.

Did you know that Gro3X wants to help lab owners to get better at marketing their own labs? They just had a marketing summit earlier in November in Charlotte, NC, where they had a bunch of lab and business owners present their best marketing practices.

And now, they are getting ready for their Dental Marketing Masters program next year in May. This is going to be also in Charlotte. It will be a two-days workshop that goes deep into the Why? How? and What? of dental marketing.

Just go to the Events section at gro3x.com, click on “Dental Marketing Masters” and then fill out the application at the bottom of the page.

Gro3X will have scholarships for up to 3 different attendees (under the age of 30) that will get a free pass to the Master Program. Gro3x will donate $100 per applicant to The Foundation For Dental Laboratory Technology for the first 10 x applications received. So, if you are under 30 and interested in stepping up your marketing game, make sure you apply ASAP and no later than January 30th, 2022.
