I have been working as a CAD/CAM technician for over 8 years. This time has been spent in an outsource, dental-dedicated milling center. I spend most days dealing with complex implant cases and full cosmetic restorations. Most
of the time, these jobs consist of things other labs would rather leave to the professionals.
I personally do not come from a dental-orientated background. I studied Art and Design at a college level. From this, I was accepted onto a Creative Product Design Course at Bristol University. After attending a couple of lectures
I quickly realized this wasn’t going to be for me. I then set out on searching for something unique and out of the box to ‘sink my teeth into’. I was brought on board as a CADCAM Technician in a dental lab and never looked back.
