Chris Delarm, CDT

Special guest

Christopher Delarm CDT has over 15 years experience in dental technology specializing in aesthetic and implant dentistry. Studying with master technicians throughout the world has given him a passion for detail and aesthetics. Chris spent most of his career working directly with patients in a clinical setting, developing his deep passion for creating natural and functionally designed prosthetics that change patient lives.

Chris became passionate about dental technology while apprenticing under a German master technician during his studies at Gwinnett Technical College in dental technology. Quickly realizing his love for complex cases and stunning life-like aesthetics he started studying closely with Pinhas Adar MDT of the internationally recognized aesthetic group Oral Design. Under Adar’s mentorship Chris began to develop his skills and eye for detail. To better understand techniques and teaching principles, Chris assisted during laboratory courses at the Noritake training center and assisted Dr. Christian Coachman during his courses concerning pink prosthetics. He also attended a multitude of courses to expand his knowledge of dentistry in addition to dental technology. Living in Europe, Brazil, and Canada to work alongside some of the most renowned dental clinicians and technicians has given him a broad universal perspective in dentistry.

Chris has lectured, consulted, and taught hands-on courses on dental technology and laboratory-clinic communication throughout Canada and the U.S. Chris currently leads the ceramic department and is the technical operations manager at Protea Dental Studio in Redmond, Washington. He is also the current President of the Washington State Dental Lab Association and is working toward earning his Master CDT designation.

Before pursuing a life devoted to the art and design of dental technology, Chris apprenticed in fine arts at Christopher Studio and attended Reinhardt University in Weleska, Georgia on an art scholarship, where he focused his studies in painting. His interest in art let him into his present career by way of his passion for creating with his hands. Chris feels privileged to apply his passion for art and nature into the esteemed field of dentistry each day.
