Martin Schmid originally trained as a dental laboratory technician in Germany, where he began his career working in a commercial dental laboratory. In 1994, he relocated to the United States to pursue new professional opportunities.
Over the years, Martin owned and operated a full-service dental laboratory while also consulting for and providing education on behalf of leading dental manufacturers throughout North America, Europe, and the Middle East. His extensive expertise spans removable, fixed, and digital dentistry.
For the past 10 years, Martin has served as a Senior Technical Consultant with Ivoclar in Amherst, New York. Through close collaboration with the company's Research & Development team, he has gained deep technical knowledge of zirconia materials and their clinical applications. Martin is passionate about troubleshooting complex cases and enjoys delivering hands-on educational programs and technical training throughout North and South America.
