Been in the lab It seems my entire life. My dad started our lab Oral Arts in 1946. I spend a lot of time as a kid doing something in the lab or for the lab. After coming out of the Marine Corps I went to work for the Williams Gold Company in Buffalo which is now Ivoclar working in education and sales. In 1980 I came back to Atlanta and took over the operations of Oral Arts. In 2000 we became part of Nation Dentex corporation lead by Mr. Dave Brown and I stayed with NDX as lab president of Oral Arts until 2016.
I couldn’t be more excited as I am now part of By Design Dental Studio and going into my 9th year with Denise Burris and my daughter Katie and this amazing team of talent in our lab.
My responsibility at By Design are Business Development, involve outside the lab, clients and services and inside the lab growth of our people and our technology.
Just celebrated 45 years as a Certified Dental Technician, holding 6 Certifications , Ceramics, Crown & Bridge, Partials, Implants, Dentures and Digital workflow.
Actively part of the Evaluation team for product evaluation for the CRA and Dr. Christensen.
I’m a lead Examiner for Certification for NBC
Was inducted into the NADL Hall of Fame in 2025
I also have served on the Board of directors at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne Fl
This year 2026 opened Enhancement Coaching llc designed to help guide both individuals and laboratories in achieving their goals in their organizations and in their dentistry
