Robert Berger

Robert P. Berger is a graduate of the U.C.L.A School of Dental Technology. He is a Certified Dental Technician specializing in Crown and Bridge and Ceramics. In 2010 he was recognized for completing forty years as a CDT. He has achieved the highest recognition for continuing education, and for his contribution to the art and science of Central Technology by receiving Fellowship from the National Board for Certification.

Mr. Berger was the first dental technician to address the American College of Prosthodontics. He was the first dental technician to be accepted as a member of the prestigious American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and served as President in 1992-1993. Mr. Berger was a charter member and served on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Dental Ceramics, served as a Trustee for the National Board of Certification and has been distinguished by being granted honorary membership in the Swedish and Japanese Dental Technicians Association's.

Mr. Berger has participated as a lecturer at numerous notable seminars including the first World Seminar on "Porcelain, The State of the Art" in 1977 and International Ceramic Symposiums in Germany, Italy, England, Japan, Canada and the United States. He was the co- chairman of the International Symposium on Ceramics held in Los Angeles in 1987. His articles on wax pattern fabrication, casting and the art of sculpturing dental porcelains have appeared in a wide variety of dental industry publications such as "Trends and Techniques", "The Journal of Dental Technology", "Lab Management Today" "Dental Clinics of North America" as well as numerous International Journals.

Mr. Berger has Twenty one registered United States and Foreign Patents to his credit and is the recipient of the National Association of Dental Laboratories, Harry C. Hagman, CDT "Inventors Award" and the 1996 "Excellence in Education Award". Founder and past President of Belle de St. Claire, Mr. Berger has designed and produced over three hundred products used by Technicians and Dentists. His product inventions include: the industries first; Blade Porcelain Sculpturing Instruments, Paint on Die Spacers, Micro Crystalline Dipping Wax, Digital Electronic Waxing Spatula and Dipping Unit, Oval Casting Rings, Tooth Preparation Reduction Guides, Preformed Wax Patterns, and Standardized Spruing System including pre made Runner Bars and Square Sprues.
Currently, Mr. Berger lectures internationally and works as an Independent Consultant to Commercial Dental Laboratories and Dental Product Manufacturers.
