Tom Wiand CDT

Since 1992, Tom Wiand has served as the General Manager and Technical Director of Wiand Dental Lab, specializing in removable and implant prosthetics, All-on-X, and, more recently, crown and bridge using both conventional and digital techniques. As the son of a general dentist, Tom pursued formal education in dental technology at the McCarrie School of Health Sciences and Technology in Philadelphia, earning his Associate's Degree in 1990.

Professionally dedicated to advancing in dental technology, Tom became certified in the BPS Brand Prosthetic System from Ivoclar in 1998 and the Staub Cranial System in 2009. He obtained his Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation the same year. He has also excelled in the implementation and use of the Ivotion® Digital Denture System across multiple applications and proudly serves as a brand ambassador for Ivoclar. His current focus inside the laboratory is to master digital and be a resource to his clients along their digital journey.

With a passion for continuing education, Tom collaborates with instructors at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, helping to teach the denture module. He is an active member of the Dental Technician Alliance of the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP) and also belongs to the National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL), Cal-Lab, and the Technical Research Consortium (TEREC). As an early adopter of All-on-X, Tom has successfully restored over 5,000+ immediate load cases and frequently shares his expertise on this innovative treatment option through speaking engagements for various implant companies.

With the heart of a servant, Tom generously contributes his time, expertise, and resources to initiatives such as the A.T. Stills C.A.R.E program, Donated Dental Services, and various other charitable endeavors.
