Before starting 8&9 Consulting, David enjoyed a history of success having started and sold two dental laboratories and a SaaS medical software product, speaking and authoring. David was introduced to the dental lab industry at his family's lab where he took an immediate interest and began working as a technician in every department and management.
David's passion for business led him to take a VP of Sales & Marketing role with one of the largest dental labs in the US, where he remained until moving to Dallas, TX.
David started Dale Dental as America’s first dental technology super center for dental labs. Dale Dental manufactured the latest and most high-tech dental restorations for dental labs throughout the United States which David took from startup, to serving over 50% of the market. Dale Dental became the exclusive US distributor for products including BioCad CAD/CAM implant bars (now All-on-4 by Noble Procera), Compartis ISUS implant bars (now Atlantis Abutments by Dentsply Sirona), and Etkon CAD/CAM (now Straumann).
David architected and oversaw the development of the dental industry’s first cloud-based dental lab and dental practice management software. The product grew to include features for scheduling, client logins, banking, merchant services and FedEx API’s, purchase orders, vendor management inventory, complete OSHA and FDA GMP compliance and real-time advertisement generation (RTAG) based on client purchasing history.
Dale Dental became the manufacturer of the All-on-4 bars for ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers and David served as their interim Vice President of Laboratory Operations until the company was sold to Catterton Partners.
David started Concert Dental Labs. Backed by a group of investors, Concert provided dentists with the latest dental restorations and related services. David exited Concert after selling a majority interest its original investors.
