Erin Szara

Erin Szara is a first-year dental student at Midwestern University – Arizona. She has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology (animal behavior and neurobiology concentration) from Michigan State University. Erin was also a member of their Varsity swim team. She broke 7 team records while earning the Most Valuable Swimmer award 3 times. She also competed at the 2021 Olympic
Trials.
Aside from being a dedicated student-athlete, Erin has worked with her dad at Szara Dental Lab every summer for 6 years then worked full-time during her gap year while applying to dental school. She has always been an artistic person and really enjoyed that aspect of working in a lab. Erin says that she makes the BEST tie-dye retainers!
In her free time, Erin enjoys playing piano, drawing, cross-stitching, doing puzzles, water-skiing,
snowboarding, family game night, and volunteering at the Michigan Animal Rescue League.

We have a full house on today's episode with multiple generations of a family all in dental technology. Joining us first is the one who started it all, Wayne Szara Sr. He pulled in his brother-in-law, Mike Capps. But also, his two sons, Wayne Szara Jr and Steve Szara. Now Steve's daughter Erin Szara is starting dental school. It's a big family of smile creators!
