Heather McMeans

Heather McMeans is a dental technician at Mountain Dental Lab in Asheville, NC. She has worn many hats in her almost 18 years at the lab. What started out as a job as the front office manager naturally transitioned into a career when she took on the challenge of making early generations of zirconia look pretty. Her passion for conquering a challenge has driven her desire to keep learning and growing as a technician in our ever evolving industry. Heather believes collaboration and open communication with dentists and fellow technicians are some of the best tools she has at her bench to get the best results for the patient. Knowing the cases she touches can literally change someone’s life brings value and joy to her work.

Heather’s primary bench work is anterior, full arch and implant zirconia cases. Heather also loves teaching new technicians and gets super excited when they start using the lab/dental lingo confidently!

Outside of lab life, Heather enjoys cooking for her friends and family…especially her son and his football friends. During the fall, you’ll find her under the Friday Night Lights cheering on her favorite linebacker.
