Michael Joseph is the Managing Director and Founder of Biterite Dental Laboratory, a London-based advanced digital dental lab focused on precision, predictability, and accountability.
With nearly three decades in dental technology, Michael’s career began unexpectedly while working as a driver for dental laboratories during a gap year abroad. That early exposure led him into the lab environment full-time, where he developed a strong technical foundation before qualifying with a BSc in Dental Technology.
After gaining industry experience in dental manufacturing and sales with Skillbond and Evident, Michael returned to the laboratory to pursue his core passion. In 2007, he founded Biterite with a clear vision: to build a private dental lab defined by exceptional quality, consistency, and trust. The lab grew rapidly and was recognised with a Best Dental Laboratory Award in 2012.
Following the pandemic, Michael led a complete transformation of Biterite in 2023, investing heavily in advanced digital technology, CAD design, and modern manufacturing workflows. He has since developed deep expertise in full-arch implant rehabilitation, becoming highly knowledgeable in photogrammetry-driven workflows and offering comprehensive photogrammetry packages to support accurate, passive-fit outcomes.
Michael is known for his engineering-led mindset and uncompromising standards. His guiding principle — “the road to hell is paved with good enough” — defines every case that leaves the lab. Each restoration is expected to fit precisely as designed, with no adjustments.
Today, Michael leads a specialist team delivering complex implant solutions while continuing to invest in technology, systems, and education to drive predictable digital outcomes for clinicians.
